GeneRushSpeed-breeding rooms

Breed four to six generations a year.

GeneRush rooms hold light, temperature, humidity, CO₂ and feeding where each crop grows and flowers fastest. The field gives you one or two generations a year.

What you get

What every GeneRush room does.

The same six systems in every room we build, from one chamber to a full facility.

01 · Spectrum

Our own LED panels

Spectrum from 350 to 750 nm, more than 95% even across the bench, so a plant at the edge grows like one in the middle.

02 · Light control

Five channels, one dial each

Each LED channel is dimmed on its own, so the light recipe can change as the crop moves from leaf to flower.

03 · Day length

Flowering, brought forward

Day length set by the hour for each stage. In our arugula study, red and blue light at 16 and 18 hours brought flowering up to 27 days earlier.

04 · Climate

Held for the crop

Temperature, humidity and CO₂ held where the crop does best, day and night, so a winter crop grows in summer.

05 · Generation advance

Hundreds of lines a bench

Early generations grow in trays under the lights, so a whole population moves forward together, season after season.

06 · Protocols

60+ crops, ready to load

Each protocol sets light, climate and feeding stage by stage. Every reading lands in FarmOS against the plant it came from.

About FarmOS

Generations

A line that breeds true in a year and a half.

After a new cross, it takes about six generations before a line breeds true. Count them in the field, then in a GeneRush room.

01 · Weighing platform

Each pot stands on its own scale. Water use and growth are tracked by weight, plant by plant, through the day.

Questions

Before you enquire.

Which crops can it breed?

More than 60 crop protocols are ready to load, including rice, wheat, millets, tomato, okra and pepper. Each one sets light, climate and feeding stage by stage.

How is this different from a growth chamber?

A growth chamber holds a few trays at fixed settings. GeneRush is built for breeding populations: full benches, light recipes that change with the growth stage, sensors and weighing on the plants, and every reading in FarmOS.

Can we run our own protocols?

Yes. Light spectrum, day length, temperature, humidity, CO₂ and feeding can each be set for your crop, from FarmOS.

Does it work in our climate?

Yes. The rooms are insulated and sealed, so the same protocol runs the same way in a hot summer or a cold winter.

How do we buy one?

Directly from us or through a tender, to buy or to lease. Send an enquiry with your crops and targets and we will come back with a design and a proposal.
